Here's an update on "The Beast". He has certainly been eating like a beast. He was smaller than a quarter when I got him, and now he's 3 inches svl. I tried to get some pics from the side, but he wouldn't cooperate lol.
Isn't it crazy how fast the bulk up!
haha yes it is. I'd say it's pretty sure you got a male there.
Yea I think so too.
nice frog looks just like mine. what is your staple.?
His staple is between night crawlers and adult crickets.
TJ, did you ever get a roach colony?
Funny you should ask, feeder roaches are illegal in Florida. It sucks because they are a great staple.

I realized that a while ago when I was looking into starting a colony. No company will ship to Florida. Luckily I found someone who had a colony that they started from some one else who started it from someone else...and so on. I have a Lobster Roach colony that I feel I keep very secure to prevent escapes, and I tong feed all my animals. That way I know that none escape. Its all about being responsible. If you are ever in north central Florida, let me know.![]()
Hey John. I live in Boca and Underground Reptiles sells lobster roaches. They are perfect for baby pixies. They also sell whats called a false deathead roach, and they are legal. They are expensive but, will tide you over till you do a colony. Watch out tho, they are quick and crawl up the sides of any container.
