Its raining here and its usually is during October until January and I assume its the best time for frog breeding. And I just had my raining chamber installed in today. Gave them romantic no light scene and just under dimmed light from the neighbours yellow light I did my observation.

The female was kicking and moving around, loitering all over the place and went into the pool, paused a little while and finally settled down to the wall.

However the male was persistently quiet and stay dormant all the while under the rain besides the water.

So here is to my question, which one come first? Maternal kick or the paternal? Because I only see activity from the female while the male just wouldn't call for mating yet or whatsoever.

Its an R. dulitensis pair.
