    Default Charcoal chips

My first order of tropical springtails came from Josh's yesterday and I followed instructions to revive them. The container has chips of charcoal. My last jar of springtails from a friend was on a solid layer of charcoal. I just shook them into the tank.
Now, how do I get the springtails into a vivarium substrate?

A few ways of doing it. Flood the culture with distilled water and pour out the water - the springtails should all float on the water. Alternatively, don't keep them on charcoal (I keep them on coconut husk) and just pour some of the culture medium into the terrarium.
