    Default Cooling the tank?

Hey guys, while i am about to make the lid for my new terrarium i am thinking how to cool up the toads during the summer, cuz it gets around 32-38C in Bulgaria and sometimes even pass 40C . The temperatures inside are not that high ofcourse, but still it will be too hot for the toads.

So how do you cool your vivariums? Will a computer fan mounted on the lid be enough?

hi. make the lid with as much mesh as you can. low watt light(s) for plants if any. any chance of a pic of set-up. obviously no heater is required (even in winter), "temperate species" even tho' most will use one .

I have no pics yet because the aquarium ill use is being build atm. It will be 50cm long, 30wide and 25 high. There will be a glass barrier in the middle to separate land and water sides. For the lid i still havent decided how to make it.
I am thinking of configuration like this, because ill have more space to put mesh, pc fan and a lamp.

    But would that be enough?

P.S. sorry for the ugly paint

looks okay that. you might want to put a fan both sides and check you have them expelling the air out. easily installed the wrong way!!!. post pics as your building.
    good luck.

I am radio-tv electrician so installing 'em correct should not be a problem.
I will have some pics if i have an assistant, because once i start i dont like to interupt my work.

Still thinking how to construct the waterfall, because the one i use now cant be used due to the separation between land and water... it takes a lot of space and the water side will get overwrought... but thats out of the topic

How are you going to power the fan? Are you having a tank built or are you building your own tank? I was thinking about getting some materials together to build my own. I'm curious as to how how you will wire up the fans and lights and what material you'll be using to create the gable roof style top.
