Well, I have four baby pixies that are the same age. Out of all of them i have one growing extremely faster than the other three. Is this normal? Also, do female pixies tend to grow slower than males? because i was thinking i have three males, and one female, but from now i do not know.
Patience is a virtue - wait and see. Anyhow, relevant info for this is in the article on this site, linked on every page.

I had one out of 3 that grew faster. He was male the other male and female grew at the same rate.
How old are they? Its amazing how fast they grow when they are young. I wouldn't be worried about the ones explosive growth. If they are all being fed the same, (not over fed) and one is really taking off, I'd just get excited! The same thing happened with our big batch. The majority of them are growing close to the same rate, but there are a few who are little monsters!! And I do believe the females grow at a slower rate than the males. They tend to be feisty eaters, but that somehow doesn't reflect on their growth as much as it does for the males. That's just my opinion after observing these guys for the last three months. All of the ones we believe to be female are smaller than the average male. But it just depends on how old they are. You can get an almost certain idea of their sex at around 4in. Hope this eases your mind!![]()
Thanks guys this helped! The one growing at a faster rate seems to eat two to three more crickets than the others, i just feed him crickets. while the other ones i feed 3-4 crickets and a few waxworms for extra protein. Sometimes I'll throw a nightcrawler instead of the waxworms. oh yeah and i've had them for a little over a month now
