Currently im feeding my Pacman Percy crickets, he is still a young growing frog. At first I was okay feeding him crickets because I starting feeding him small sized crickets. As he's grown abit more in the last few months ive upsized the crickets to a larger size. Its sounds really bad but because their bigger they creep me out and i didnt realise this from the start. When I changed the size of percys crickets my boyfriend was living with me for a while so I didnt have to do it by myself but now he's not there to do it, I cant bare to do it, it really makes me feel sick. (I know il get critisised for this but its how its how i feel)
I am thinking of feeding him worms, which kind, im unsure of yet but I have read that some worms aren't as nutritional as others.
has anybody got any suggestions what would be best for a young growing frog to have?
Thanks so much for replies in advance
I would recommend Canadian Nightcrawlers. They are large, very nutritious, make a great staple, and are fairly inexpensive depending on where you buy them. They also live for a long time if kept in the fridge. Some Walmarts sell them for about $3-4 for 20 (I think), Petsmart sells packs of 12 for $4-5, and a lot of bait shops sell them at varying numbers for varying prices, but usually not too expensive. You may need to be careful about some bait worms, depending on what they were grown on and if they have any sort of dye in them (for the purposes of attracting more fish). I have never seen this anywhere, but have seen other people caution about it. Good luck!
Get the big lob worms (Lumbricus terrestris). You should be able to get them in a pesticide-free garden, but you can usually order them by mail too.
