New to keeping bull ABFs. I have them on moss and not coconut, is that alright? Also, I saw one of them ingest some of the moss, is that gonna be a problem later? I would love to gleen on the experience of the people on this forum. Please add any helpful hints and do's and do nots you have learned over the years.
I also have another african frog I thought was a giant but now I'm not sure. Once I figure out how to post pics Ill post one of him and his woman who, i'm sure is a giant.
Thanks in advance,
Roman
I personally keep all three of my African Giants on a dirt substrate deep enough to allow them to bury themselves completely should they choose to.
If you post some pictures, we will be able to help you determine whether you have a Giant or not.
Hello Roman, the coco-fiber(if that's what your talking about) is a great substrate for them. I would however throw that moss out ASAP. Moss has been known to cause impaction in many many frogs if ingested. If one of them ingested moss I would be worried, maybe even take it to the vet. I'm not saying there's a for sure chance he's automatically impacted, but I would be very concerned.
Was it a large piece?
My little guys try to eat the ground and the water its hilarious.
