    Default Leiopelma archyi

hello again im still new so im not quite sure that this is the right part to post this question on the forums, but leiopelma archyi is a frog that i have been very very interested in for about 2 years now and i have done alot of reasearch (about 2 years worth) to where i think that i am ready to have one of them. however i cant find any of the little guys. i know that they are common in new zealand, but is there any way that i can get any of the little guys for myself here in the states mainly in texas that anyone knows of. i would preferably want the same one that is my avatar but at this point any colaration of the species will work lol. if anyone could help me out on this i would be greatly indebted to you.

They are actually critically endangered and probably wont be available in the pet trade.

Also, I believe it is illegal to export species from Australia and New Zealand.

There are some very unique and beautiful species endemic to both islands, but they are all heavily protected.

    Best,
    Alex

Geografically speaking Australia is a continent not an island. It has its own tectonic plate so it is classified as a continent.
