    Default Live Oak Bark

A large Live Oak tree was hit by lightening in our area some months ago. The bark is beginning to separate from the wood, but because it's in the sun, much of the bark is still in good condition.

I've collected several large pieces (1 to 1.5 square feet) and smaller pieces for my own use, but there is a lot more I could get. It's not quite as thick as cork bark, so it won't hold up as long in a wet viv, but pieces could be used as surfaces to grow moss, or as hide spots for froglets in a grow out enclosure, or microfauna in the leaf litter.

It would do quite well in a dry terrarium setting.

I'm using pieces to cover mushroom slices I place in the leaf litter to feed the springtails in my vivs and springtail cultures.

I can fill a small flat rate USPS box for $12 shipped. Photos of the front and back are attached.
