Jaba the edema frog

So I called an old friend and she told me the only vet that can treat Jaba in my area. I called and he wont be in until thursday so I made an appointment for 8:00am thursday morning for the vet to see Jaba. What can I do to make him comfortable until then? I worried because thursday seems far away right now.
