Hi, welcome to Frog Forum. It's too bad you can't keep any frogs or toads in your area. I would be very cool to see pictures of your imaginary taddies.![]()
Hi, I am setting up a 4' tank for my imaginary tadpoles. We are not allowed to keep tadpoles or frogs in my state, country even if they are living in the cement pond I built..You have to have a license to do just about anything so I will have to make do with my big fat make believe tadpoles![]()

Hi there podyjam and welcome to the forum. Gee and I though I was limited..You have to get that license
Paul...nice A.moreletii tads.![]()
Those are some awesome taddies, Paul![]()
Anyone have any hybrid imaginary froglets available?
:x
Welcome aboard.
Trouble with license is that you become known to RSPCA and National parks and wildlife. You must buy all frogs lizards etc from a breeder. You can't keep the 5 green tree frogs living in your mothers toilet, even to save them from the dreaded cane toads. I live 19kms from state border, they can't have rabbits ($5000 fine) or ferrets up there. I will have to just keep on pretending my tadpoles are real, and live in my own little make-believe world.
I am afraid that if certain groups have their way, we may all be keeping imaginary frogs. That would be very sad.![]()
Yes dedicated, also using my Australian sense of humour. I will take photos of my imaginary friends when I put them in my tank, I checked on them yesterday and they r still swimming in the murky pond.
really all frogs are illegal? i dont think they would mind if you kept cane toads.
African Bullfrogs, Clawed Frogs, Salamanders, Newts, Bearded Dragons,
We appreciate that you are dedicated to frogs and certainly enjoy your Australian sense of humor. It would be great if you can write an article on the native frogs or post photos of frogs in the field. Photos of imaginary frogs are welcomed too
BTW, I remember a friend of mine from South Australia mentioned that there is one frog that can be kept without a license, the Spotted Marsh Frog (Limnodynastes tasmaniensis). It's worth checking out.
