    Question ID please?

I got this frog from the pet store (bad i know)

He is very cute, i call him a he because man do i hear him calling DAILY and it is cute, Anyway i got him when i got my white-striped tree frogs...they categorized him in the same tank (i know i know pet stores are bad but they had them in a tank with a HUGE waxy monkey and i didnt want him to be lunch!)

These are the best photos i have, the pattern on his back is rather pretty... i will try get some more...does anyone have any idea?

He is about 3/4 of an inch long...very plump and obviously a talker...he has a creamy white belly and is very smooth... Could he just be a different coloration of the GTF? cause he doesnt sound like my other male GTF

Any help would be great! he is currently in with my GTF and a golden and seems quite happy (they were all in the same thingie at the petstore for 2 weeks before i bought them and I know mixing is bad!)

Well, I listened to almost every Pseudacris variety i could find on google and none match. So far almost nobody has any idea what frog it was. i have had lots of guesses. When my frog calls it normaly doesnt last long enought for me to get it on the camera so i dont know what to do.

I guess i will just keep him in the tank. he seems to be doing very well with the temp in the 80s during the day and 70's at night. He isnt very fond of being sprayed though

To my eyesight. It looks like a green tree frog. It has its shape and that white tummy. I cant quite tell if its green or brown? xD Maybe its a grey treefrog? It looks like its a common treefrog though. Personally I mean. Could you take morepictures with different lighting? Like you see my picture, kurts picture and alot of other peoples picture? Try getting it in that resolution if its not too much to ask. Its a bit hard to tell what it is from the look of it.

It's definitely not a grey treefrog and I seriously doubt that its a green treefrog. It's possible that it's a form of Hyla, but not versicolor/chrysoscelis or cinerea. I think its more likely that its a Pseudacris species.

It would definately help to know where he/she came from.

I did some searching and I may have found a few possible candidates. I think the first one is most likely your frog.
    Pseudacris brachyphona
    Pseudacris feriarum feriarum

i will try and get some more photos...the biggest problem is that i am working with a camera phone, so photos dont come so great lol. Oh and it is brown by the way lol

I looked at both the pictures and i guess one of those could be him, the only thing i am seeing is that those two frogs are slightly rough in texture, whereas my little boy is the smoothest frog i have ever seen...even smoother than my golden tree frog!

I live in GA, but bought him with my green tree frogs, so i dont know if he is native or not. I shall try post more photos tonight
