Default Update on Inshallah & Philomenia (Deformed frogs)

Just thought is been a while since I have shared how Inshallah & Philomenia are doing. They are about 8 1/2 months old now and around 6cm and doing great. Unfortunately they went dark when I took them out of their enclosure..but the photo's give you and idea. For those who are dont know them, here is the old thread...

They look really good Ebony. They have come a long way, great job!

They are very closely related to Ranids.

Thanks Paul & Kurt. They are so cool..When I put them in the container to take the photo's I put 6x 2cm Locusts in with them Inshallah (male) ate 4 and left two for Philomenia..This is the first time Ive had a boy who's the big eater..Lol
Im so pleased for them. They are in a 24x18x18 inch exo terra and they make good use of all the space and climb to the top as well.

Nice work! They look really good - nice body weight on both. Congrats.
I used to think that I had to understand in order to believe, then I realized that I must believe in order to understand - Augustine

I am so happy for them, I took in a Gray Tree frog that has a deformed leg too. He or she also has a problem folding the leg in. After Tiny died, I thought Baby could use a companion and Hoppy was very close to Baby's now healthy size. They are always together. It's odd how some frogs bond with another and form a ,seemingly, loving companionship. Congradulations on your wonderful effort to care for these frogs, Kudos!

    Thanks Julia & JimO.

Thank JimO..Im glad you think that about their weight. Ive been controlling their weight a bit as I think being heavy may restrict their ability to climb. They seem to manage very well at this weight. I usually have my frogs a little heavier than that.

Charlamanda..Im so sorry about Tiny. Its interesting what you say about them bonding..My Mork & Mindy are always sitting together. They have recently been sharing with others yet they still sit together. Maybe it is a bond??

I am sure many animals are capable of a caring companionship, frogs too. Baby and Hoppy were out side with many places to go and no matter how many times they were moved etc. they still managed to find each other and here is a few pics that's shows them. They display this same behavior in their tank too and rarely involve the other frog that's in there with them. Poor Shadoobie!LOL
I also have 2 pairs of bunnies that are companions. If one is taken out or hops off the other looks all over for his companion. They do everything together. If one goes to eat the other will too, if one goes into the potty, so does the other one. Both pairs exibit this same behavior and both snuggle, all the time, with their companions. It's really wonderful to watch, gives you a warm fuzzy feeling!LOL The frist ones are Elmo with the baby bunny Spanky, who you would have thought was his own baby, the next 2 are Chase (Spanky's brother from Binky and Merry's 2nd litter) and Bambie and the lasy pic is our kitty's, I adopted together, Buster and Tabbitha. They sleep intertwinded all the time.
All of them clean and lick each other, cats and bunnies. I thought these pics were too cute to pass on showing.
