    Default Dream Terrarium!

So I found my dream Terrarium set up and OMG its expensive.

Exo Terra sells a beautiful and large Glass Terrarium, matching stand, and light Canopy.

    Terrarum - PT2614 - 36"w x 18"d x 24"h - $369.75 CAD
    Stand - PT2631 - 36.5"w x 19"d x 32.5"h - $259.75 CAD
    Canopy - PT2228 - 36"w x 3.5" x 7.8" - $89.79 CAD

If I purchase all at once the store will take $200 off.

So the plan for my Christmas present begins lol. (Need to convince the husband) (and get parents to help out... after all its for the grand kids too lol)

It is sooo beautiful and the amount of Grey Tree Frogs I could have in it... well that is what I want to know.

If I can make this happen for Christmas I need to know how many Grey Tree Frogs i can comfortably fit.... thank you and wish me luck! I'll need it.

You are so right! These tanks are expensive. They sure are pretty though. This is what I just ordered for my 11 froglets. I think it will be big enough for 11 of them (because they are one of the smaller type tree frogs), but I won't know until next year when they are full grown. I hope I don't have to buy an additional one. I can't really say how many it will fit comfortably. I think I read somewhere about a ratio of frog to gallons, but it is escaping me right now. Maybe someone who has had Gray's for a long time can answer. If you can't get all the money together by Christmas, charge the rest! Then you can have it delivered and say "Oh, look what Santa sent me".

lol That might work if I wasnt a stay at home mom so my husband pays my card bill

But yes I believe I read somewhere 10 gallon per frog but due to the GTF small size I hope a few more.
Also how many gallons is a terrarium that big anyone know for sure?

I did the math once and I think its 63 gallons. I have this tank and I absolutely love it. I got mine from LLL reptile at a reptile show so I got a pretty good package deal. Remember you also have to buy the actual light bulbs as well. It takes four at $13.50 each. Then you need the digital Exo Terra temp and humidity guages because they have this cool slot that they slide into on the canopy. Yes I spent a small fortune but it is cool. I don't feel the need to have a bigger tank and that's unusual for me. It gives you a chance to really be creative with tropical layouts.

I have two of these tanks for my bearded dragons, and I love them! Personally I would not spend money on the matching stand. You can buy cute coffee tables from Ikea that fit the exact footprint of this tank. TV stands work well too. For the hood you can probably buy it used off craigslist...or purchase a regular fluorescent fixture from walmart for under $15. I like to be cheap without compromising care.

There are 231 cubic inches to the (US) gallon.

Or you can go here Calculating Aquarium Volume - The First Tank Guide - How Can I Figure Out How Much Water My Fish Tank Holds?

You might consider looking for used tanks, craigslist, kijiji, garage sales, etc. if you want big at a reasonable cost.
