I have had my ADF for about 2 weeks now. It has been active and eating well. I feed it frozen bloodworms every other day.... I admit I researched some before buying it - but a lot of this has been a learning experience. I fed it last night and it was acting normal. This morning and this afternoon.... it was doing it's normal things: resting in the normal spots, going up to the top of the tank and back down, moving around. I came in about two hours later to my little frog with it's legs straddled and the belly against the side of the tank at the bottom (feet resting on the bottom). I came in an hour later and it was still there. So, I got the net and was seeing if it'd move when I touched it. It didn't do much. It had maybe one limb or two move and a bubble or two come out of its mouth. I did notice some of the skin looked like it was starting to shed. I came home after leaving it for 2-3 hours and it was in the same position I left it in before, with more skin looking like it is lifting/shedding... with more of a milky/hazy look over the eyes. Even after touching it with the net, it's not moving. It doesn't act startled or anything. There was one change from the time I left and came home the last time... the mouth had completely shut (I could see it was opened a little before I left).
Is this normal behavior for a frog who is going to shed? It was acting totally normal and then the next thing I know it's seeming like its dead. I really unsure of whether to go ahead and take it out of the tank or not. It has been in the same position for a good 5 hours now. I have a bad feeling it's dead....any help you guys can give me is greatly appreciated!
