One of my white's is not eating very much. I feed them twice a week, 6 large crickets each time. He was eating a couple of crickets once a week and now I have not seen him eat any for a couple of weeks. He is a thin frog to begin with and does not appear to have lost weight. the other frog is fat and eats all the time. Both frogs are active and seem to be healthy otherwise. I talked to a reptile/amphibian store and they told me not to worry that frogs have different appetites. I am worried anyway.
Thanks,
Jaimie
2 white's tree frogs
Hi Jaimie! Is your whites tree frog getting thinner each week? If not, then he probably still is eating, even if you don't notice it. However, if he gets thinner and thinner, try feeding wax worms to him. Wax worms are high in fat, but they are plump, juicy, and are defenseless. Even a hesitant frog rarely refuses such a meal (my frogs love them, but they shouldn't become the main diet because it can cause frogs to become overweight), but if your frogs are active and otherwise healthy, they probably aren't sick. Hope this helps!
