Oh Jace..Im so sorry about Elton. Unfortunately this comes with having pets and I know its never easy. Don't let this deter you Jace. You are a great frog keeper.

Thanks everyone. Rongo is doing fine, thankfully. I hope that continues as I'm rather attached to them...now just him.

Jeff and Eel Noob, I am so sorry to hear about your own losses.

So sorry to hear about Elton. At least he was able to live the end of his life with you being spoiled and loved!!!

Thanks, Julia. He was pretty special-and sure loved his mistings! Just wish I realized what was happening sooner and maybe I could have done something so that he recovered. However, hindsight is always 20/20. Rongo is going to get fussed over for the next little while, that's for sure!

Sorry for your loss Jo-Anna. Julia is right, Elton spent his last days with you and probably the best of his life.

Its so hard to know when something is wrong with reptiles and amphibians. They hide all signs of illness because showing weakness in the wild would make them easy prey. Unfortunately it makes it much harder for us keepers because by the time they show signs of illness its usually too late.
