I need a BIG one!!

I have been searching for the biggest enclosure i can get for my Grays. The largest I have found is a 36"x18"x24" from exo terra. I really like their style of enclosures. Anyone have one? Do you love it? Is that the largest one out there? Do you think it will be big enough for 11 of these guys?

I don't have one that large but I do have a small Exo-Terra. To my mind that's a lot of frogs to keep track of in one terrarium that size. Why must you keep 11 of them?

A company called Protean makes custom all glass enclosures that are very similar to the Zoo-Med and Exo-Terra enclosures. They have sliding glass doors and several vents. You might check with them, but I would suggest something on the order of 75 to 100 gallons capacity for 11 frogs.

Why must I keep them? Well, I rescued them from a very large garden pond from a friend that wanted to empty it for winter. So it was either let him throw them into the yard or take them until the morphed. Now, mind you, there was about 1,000 of them, literally, no joke! They all left the pond except 17 of them. So, i started on a journey that I never planned on, ( never had an amphibian for a pet), and am just doing what I think is right by them. I planned on releasing them but, I have read many times on this forum that once you take a frog in, to never release it. Is that right? It took two more weeks for them to turn into froglets. Some are only a few weeks old, and none of them are bigger than my thumb nail. It gets down to about 40 degrees at night here in my part of the country and if I can recall correctly aren't the others hibernating right now? I think that it would be cruel to release them at those temps. Maybe I'm wrong for taking them in, but my heart couldn't take watching these little tadpoles die in a lawn. Some of the tadpoles died (they were only half the size of the others), maybe there was something wrong with them, maybe it was my fault, I just don't know. The remaining 11 are thriving! So, this is why I keep them. I DO NOT know much about what I am doing but I am trying my best. Thank goodness I found this sight because I can get my questions answered by some experts in this field, and I am thankful for that--and so are my little guys. It must be hard having a mom that doesn't know what she is doing. Thank you John for your input and I hope I have answered your question.

Thank you Jim for your input. I was afraid I might have to go that big. That's ok though. If that is the consensus from the people that respond to my inquiry, that is absolutely what I will do. I have fallen in love with these little ones and I will do right by them so they are comfortable and happy.

If its a money concern check on Craigs List. You can often find pretty good deals on tanks on there. I have the Exo Terra 36X24X18. I love it but I also have only 3 Red Eyes in it right now with two more when the babies get big enough. Its a good size to be creative with. Check out my photo album if you want to see a picture. I think its just a little over 60 gallons if you do the math. I like the double doors on a tank this size especially if you have a lot of frogs. You could always keep two tanks of them. The large Exo Terra and the tank you currently have them in. Depending on the size tank you have I suppose.

Thank you Cheri for your reply. No, it's not a money issue, it's a space issue. I will just have to move stuff around and buy a bigger stand!!
