    Default Introducing Ori and Boris

So our "little" guys arrived yesterday (which means another 30 day quarantine before Quibble finally has some friends), but boy are they big!

We've named the female "Ori" and the male "Boris," so together they are "Ori-Boris" as in the infinite cycle of life (in honor of Igby and Kibbits...the original couple).

Needless to say, they've settled in well! Boris was crazy last night exploring the tank! Diving into the water, and then climbing up on the rocks and leaping high into the branches!

Anyway, I wanted to share some quick pics (just grabbed my camera phone when I saw this), but it has had me laughing all day. For all the branches, for all the hiding logs, and ALL the space in their 33 gal. tank, they insist on sleeping on top of each other!

At first, it was Boris sleeping on Ori's head. Then she got tired of it, moved away, and promptly positioned herself on his head. That a girl!

(Meanwhile Quibble is tucked away in his own small tank...poor little Quibble!)

Congrats on their safe arrival-sounds like they are going to settle in just fine. Love the names, too!

Congrads and I am so happy you got your new pair and love the explanation of their names, very nice and very clever.
(Pointless story, but I thought I'd share)My friend had a Rottwieler (?sp), Damien, that got bone Ca in it's back left leg and had to be put down, it broke my heart and I tried to help as much as I could. He decided to get another smaller dog he could carry if he had to ( Damian was almost 200lbs) and decided go with a "Designer dog". I have to laugh because basically it's a nice way to refer to a mix breed aka mutt. His "designer dog" was Schnauzer/Pomarainian (all black). but it looked like a Jackal to me. I love all things Egyptian (Star Wars too!LOL) and I decided to have him name the dog Annubis, Egyptian god of the dead/underworld, that will look after Damien. We call him Nubi for short. My dogs name is Kenobi, of course from Star Wars, and we call him Nobi, if we went with Obi Wan Kenobi, shortened it's ob..a tampon brand!!!! Nubi and Nobi were very confused when we had them together, poor dogs!
So back to the frogs...I found a new BFF for Baby, Mr. or Mrs. Hoppy, the deformed frog. I also have Shadoobie (who is now a beautiful green, I may have to rethink the name) in with them, but Baby and Hoppy always hang together too. Sometimes on top of each other as well, here's a pic of the love they share!!LOL
Congrads again and before you know it they'll be together with lonely Quibble, a happy froggy family.
