Do you guys think cranwelli are not as voracious as ornates when it comes to feeding? My albino cranwelli seems much more subdued than my ornate in regards to the frequency and amount it eats.
Ornates are more voracious. That's the case in ours. But there are exceptions.
People often say that ornates have a better feeding response in captivity.

my albino is lazy, won't chase after its prey.. even after he got himself out of the burrow... the new carnwell is slick tho.. he would jus eat and won't even get out of his burrow
I have albino cranwelli and his appetite is more than good. It lunges for food, comes out burrows and thrashes the enclosure to get the food. No problems with this albino.
Now, I do feed night crawlers and mice, he doesn't like crickets, so maybe that's why he's like this.
I do have to mention though, I tong feed, so I don't leave the food in a plate and just wait for him to eat because he probably won't due to me always using tongs he associates the tongs instead of the food as prey. But I'm currently working on training him to feed out of a bowl and I'll keep you guys posted on how it goes.
I've got 2 cranwelli's so I can't give a comparison. the big one is about the size of my 4'' or so and he'll hop around to get crickets and eat about 20-25 and the little one usually only eat's one and about breaks his neck jumping to get them.first one is my beast mode and the other hasn't got a name yet but here is a vid and a cool pic.. enjoy!
