    Default New to the FF

    Hello everyone...

I'm Tiffany - from the US (So. CA), just joining the FrogForum. I kind of stumbled upon this site while at work looking for help on IDing a frog....

I've got a BS in Biology and wanted to become a herpetologist after enjoying my herp class in college.... but instead, I'm at my current job that deals with insects. With that said, my job sometimes comes across a lot of different critters from all over the world. That's how I came here --

This month marks a full year that I've had my first pet frog, which I got from work. I'm unsure of the species because I studied herps of Texas and the US (mostly), but also all the general Orders & Families of the world. Also, a guy from my work got a frog the same way I did, around the same time, too.

I'll post pictures of my frog, and her story soon enough........ I just wanted to introduce myself and say hello.

Welcome to the forum Tiffany. There are a lot of So Cal members here on the forum. We look forward to seeing a picture of your frog. You were able to stop with just one....hmmm...we're going to have to do something about that.

    lol, Thanks for the welcome...

I have stopped at one - for now With my job, I ended up with several little herps. The one I have now is the only one that's survived this long.

I would love to get more, and I plan on getting a roomie for my current frog -- I'd just like to know she won't eat another frog or vice versa.

I've posted pics of my frog in the 'Other Frogs & Toads' forum under the title 'Trooper's story'

Hi and welcome! I already replied to your post, and let me tell you something, NEVER mix different frog species, specially with this because of their skin secretions. Good luck with Trooper!

I agree with Mauricio...keep one species of frog per tank. Its better for the health of the animals. Also, check around the forum here and you'll notice half the fun of keeping frogs is doing cool tank builds. So that'll give you enough reason alone to build another tank.

Welcome to the Forum! I haven't yet read about Trooper, but I hope you find a lot of great advice here and can share your own experiences. Sounds like you have a great job!
