Hey Guys!!

When I went to the local petstore today to get the crickets, I saw a green baby pacman frog, and according to the owner it is an Ornate, not Carnwell. I didn't put too much mind into it because I can't tell the difference. But after I came across an older post by John Clare, I've decide to drive back to the store and take a good second look, I hope it goes well because if it is a true Ornate, I will take that in a heart beat!! Wish me luck guys, I will post pictures if I got him tonight!!!

Most petstore pacman will be cranwelli unless they're a specialty shop. Hoping it is a Ornate for you though.

@ Eel Noob: Thanks man, the more I look into it, the more it looked like a carnwell ... oh well... at least he/she is not brown (they insist that it is green) like they sell in petsmart and is currently green, he/she may not keep the green color, at least I will give as much love to him/her as to Pacatron~~

That's a great looking Cranwelli, nice horn and colors. How big it is?

Just kidding. But I think our ornate would eat them. I don't know if they ever hold the green. Anyone have a pic of an adult green cranwelli?

its a Carnwelli? The owner insist that it is an Ornate.... oh wells.... he/she is currently little bigger than a quarter...

Ornate used to be the most widely available horned frog so some stores still list pacman frogs as Ornate even though they're mostly Cranwelli now.

The chances of a regular petstore carrying ornate is slim unless they're a reptile specialty shop.

Most do eventually turn brown but some do remain green.

Maybe it's me but, when i took the moss out of my pac's terrarium he started to turn brown..

haha, I hope he stays light green... cuz the brown from petsmart is really not my style~
