Default Hi... just adopted a Grey Tree Frog!

Hi Im new to this site just signed up last night. I've never really been a frog fan lol.

But that seems to have changed due to a lil tree frog that had been inhabiting our front porch for the past few days. I found it strangly interesting and maybe even cute lol. My daughter was instantly fond of it. So my husband and I went to the Petsmart and bought a terrarium and acc. and crickets...ewwww! So my daughter woke up yesturday to her new friend in the house for her 5th birthday =D! Which she named FRODO!

By the world of Google we have discovered its a Grey Tree Frog, and likely male by size and appetite. And Google also led me here =)

I also posted in the Grey Frog forum but it didnt seem to work

Welcome to the Forum. Gray treefrogs are adorable and great little frogs to have. I am sure you are really going to enjoy Frodo and be highly amusing at his antics.

If you tried to post a specific comment on the caresheet, it has to be approved before it will be posted. I am sure that will happen shortly. We can't wait to see some pictures of Frodo and happy birthday to your daughter!

Thinking of adding more green plants to the back of terrarium. Any suggestions welcome and if you are a owner of Grey Tree Frogs I'd love to see your albums and stories so feel free to add me

Hi Rae. Cute little frog you've got there, I'm sure your daughter will enjoy it.

If you wanted to add a live plant to your viv, Pothos, aka the vivarium wonder plant, is a good start. It's easy to find, easy to grow, and gives nice sized foliage for your Gray treefrog.

If you haven't already, check out the Gray tree frog care article (link is on the left). If you have any specific questions, we'll do our best to help!

I do have an album of photos for my pet grays that I've just updated with a few photos of my recent addition.
