underside of the false bottom (before screen)

    topside before screen

    topside after screen

    underside after screen

sliced foam before glued together and before smoothed out

some work with the dremel. so far so good. minus the pink snow

Yeah...I've been working on a similar project for about three months now and it is a time consuming project. I think from now on I'll leave it for the young ones like yourself. Remember once you're done you're not done. Then there's curing, and soaking and viniger and then then testing water run off. Ahhh....have fun with it....but it does take some time.

Looking very good so far! What mix are you going to use for the cement? If you just use the acrylic fortifier then the cure time is not bad at all.

I've read that portland cement and quick crete work well. But to be honest, I haven't made a decision. The grout sounds good and I like the idea of layering in colors, then sanding it t to give it a weathered look. And I know I'm in for it lol but they look so nice and well they rock

Can you guys please fill me in on how you did yours? Brand names, methods, etc?

Take a look at my 55 gallon build. I used the cement and acrylic fortifier for my build.
