I'm new to frogs. I have read that you are supposed to feed nothing bigger than the width between the frogs eyes....then I read that it is the width of the frogs mouth....ugh...which is it? I am feeding gray tree froglets, they range between 3 weeks and 1 week out of the water. My crickets are about three weeks old (I got them 2 weeks ago and they were a little bigger than a pinhead, so I am guessing they are that age)....I just don't want to choke them. Sometimes it seems they have a hard time swollowing and when they have it in their mouth, the crickets feelers?, antennae? are sticking out of their mouth. And does that mean the cricket shouldn't be longer than the width or is it their body size that should fit in that space?....I am trying to explain what I'm asking the best way I can....Oh, and I am only feeding the younger one pinheads and fruit flies. The bigger ones get flies too. Thanks for your input.
I'm not confused anymore LOL. I just feed them insects that are smaller than the width of their mouth and they seem to be just fine.
