Hello, I am excited to be a part of this forum, i recently purchased two whitelipped tree frogs as a pet for my boyfriends daugters, I will be helping them care for them. Their parents have kept a variety of tarantulas over time, so i believe the children have a good consept of what type of pet this is. One thats cool to watch and look at and they have a pretty terrarium in their room now. I think this will be a good learning experiance for them. I have had a tree frog in the past and found it very interesting, unfortunatly i was quite young and did not have the proper instruction to care for these creatures and they only lived a year or so. I have been reading up alot on proper care and terrarium maintence. I am super excited to have these interesting little gusy/gals?? in our home. I think the terrerium adds a nice atmosphere to the girls room and I hope to expand the girls habitat in the future, I would like to put a water feature in the terrarium. I look forward to any tips for new owner and I will post some pictures soon
    thanks
    Megan

Welcome! It's great to have you here. Sadly, I've killed a few frogs over the years myself from lack of knowledge. But, you've found the place to help with that. I have found this to be a great site with lots of pleasant folks who know much more that I do about frogs.

My only complaint is that until I came here I never paid much attention to African bullfrogs or "Pacman" frogs. The more threads I see on these guys, the more they grow on me. Dang! And I'm running out of spots with outlets to put more vivariums.

So, in good faith, I must warn you that frequent posting on Frog Forum can cause an intense interest in obtaining and housing many species of frogs, manifested as visible shrinking of the wallet!

Welcome to the Forum, Megan. Whitelipped Treefrogs are gorgeous, and we haven't seen too many on here. I am with Lesley in saying that I can't wait to see some pictures of them.

JimO has summed it up nicely...being on this Forum will lead to intense interest in acquiring more frogs which means more posts, and more pictures and more frogs. However, in the meantime, I hope that we can help you care for your new friends and answer any and all questions you have. Thanks for joining!
