Thank you for all the well wishes. As you can tell, I stayed away for a few days after Igby's death, poor little girl.

Igby's little body was taken to the vet to have a complete necropsy done to determine the cause of death, and get some definitive answers about the mysterious "spotted" illness. Like Kibbits, when she passed, the spots had taken over certain spots of her body

We thought she was getting better as well, so the death felt sudden. Nevertheless, I hope that by having all the tests done, we might be able to document the illness so that her death might help save other littler froggies out there!

We are hoping to find a companion for Quibble soon, but want to get some definitive answers from the vet first about what's been going on.

Thanks again everyone. I'll post as soon as I have some answers!

(Oh, and just a quick word about Quibble: He's active as ever, getting quite plump, and behaving like the rambunctious little frog he should be...oh, and still sleeping upside down on occasion. We are being extra vigilant of course, but so far, no signs of illness, and he finished his precautionary Chytrid treatment tonight.)

Didn't you mention Quibble had spots too or was I mistaken?

I am glad to hear that Quibble is doing well and has taken all his meds. Good froggy! I think you've done everything to make sure he will be safe and healthy and hang like a bat. LOL
Having the necropsy is a really good idea, I wouldn't have thought of it, it will give you some answers, as well as, possibly saving Quibbles life in the event he gets it, which I hope and pray he will not and, like you mentioned, could really spare other frogs and their parents.
Again, I am so sorry for your losses and hope this will be the last for a long time.
