New "Dumpy" owner

i just purchased my first whites tree frog about an hour ago, and i have a few questions.
1. Do whites calm down as they get older? or will he always jump around this much?
2. I just got him home and i bought crickets, isit okey to feed him now or do i let him get use to his new home first?

he doesn't have a name and i was looking for one he is only about an inch and a half or so so i know he's young. anyone with advice i am all ears

They usually calm down over a few week period. I would not feed it on day 1 if it's very nervous. Give it 24 hours.

i am having trouble keeping my humidity up
i want it to stay around 80 or 90 but it constantly changes and i have to keep misting
i have a 10 gallon reptile tank with a screen top and an overhead heat lamp. my substrate is coconut husk shavings and i have a piece of driftwood and a few fake plants. is there anything i can do to boost my humidity ?

p.s i plan on upgrading to a terrarium in time but its kind of pricey.

80 to 90 percent humidity is a bit high for a dumpy. Shoot for 50 to 70% humidity.

If you are having trouble sustaining 50 to 70% humidity, I use a plastic covering (for us, we use a thick plastic sheet) and cover half of the tank top to help keep the humidity.

Also, i was wondering about his substrate. when i got home today he was absolutly coated in it and i was wondering if it would be a problem for his health.
