My son's school had an opening night and as usual we supplied a large number of captive bred creatures for the evenings viewing from scorpions to treefogs to hissing cockroaches to tiger salamanders. He asked if he could take the Dendrobates Aratus , no problem .We housed them in a 16x 10 perspex tank with a solid perspex lid 3 inch deep coir bits of cork dead leaves a half a coconut over a small water dish . Their behaviour is totally different they bounce around the tank they approach the glass and wait to be fed and take everything from lesser wax-worms pupae to bean weevils, fruit flies, crickets with, everything consumed in minutes The annoying thing is I took them out of a large heavily planted exo-terra looked really nice full of vines bromeliads, but you never saw them and to cap it off they have just started calling, sometimes you just cant win still if they prefer the small set up I will leave them in there for a few weeks and see what happens
