Because we are documenting their growth, behavior, appetite, etc. It's quite a task. Requires at least 3 hours everyday but the payoff is awesome. These guys are a hoot. They just bark nonstop. Right now while I am typing, there are about 4 of them going back and forth barking at each other.

    Hey Chris,

Yes, we offer crickets, free roaming everyday in their enclosure. This would be small crickets and we throw (10) in there. That is just so that they can pick them off as they seem fit. Then each day, we isolate them inside a feeding bin where worms, dubia roach nymphs and crickets are inside. We allow them about 5 minutes in there however if one is eating aggressively, we will let them eat until they are done. Usually they slow down within 10 minutes and can be placed back inside their enclosure. We do this for two days and then the third we offer nothing so that they can digest the food properly. It has worked well for us thus far. As far as the barking, it is hard to describe. It isn't them filling up with air. You will know it when you hear it. It is kind of like a buzzing or a bug sound, kind of like a creaky door creaking when it is opened slowly. It's good stuff. They are very vocal and I didn't expect it so soon.

So are you doing this research for any kind of institute or university of any sort? Or is it for your own personal curiosity?
