    Default New Puppy!!!!

I finally got a dog!! I've wanted one all my life but I live with my grandmother and she never allowed it. But my aunts got some information about how dogs can help people with mental illnesses and they worked on my grandmother for months until this Christmas when she caved! So I got a puppy Sunday from a reputable breeder here in New York. After a trip to the vet today she is apparently very healthy! Shes a beautiful brindle coated English bulldog. Her name is Takedown.

I also got a scorpion that morning at the rep expo (it was a great day!). any tips? (kurt?)

Gee, I was hoping it would've been a mudpuppy. Sorry, not much a mammalian kind of person. I prefer the ectothermic to the endothermic, they're much cleaner.

Depending on what species of scorpion it is I would say avoid getting stung. Seriously, what kind of scorpion are we talking about? Taxonomic names will help a lot. I am hoping you stood clear of any Buthids.

mammals are more expensive but easier to care for in my eyes. the scorpion is a Pandinus imperator.

Ok simple enough. Emperor scorpions are harmless, I have been stung several times with absolutely no ill effects. They are West African, so they should be kept like a forest type rather than a desert/savanna type. That mean some humidity, probably around 70%. To tell you the truth, I have never been all that successful with this species. The longest I have kept one was about a year and a half. I did have a Hadogenes troglodytes for eight years though. I have had my Heterometrus spinifer and Pandinus cf. militaris for about three years now.

Oh gosh! I loves the bulldog puppies...I loves them good. Any dog questions you have, I can most likely answer. I have 3 and have raised and bred dogs all my life. Be absolutely sure to keep up on vaccinations. Parvo is a horrible way to die.

bulldogs are the greatest! I think there are lots of people out there who shouldnt own dogs.....But for those who treat them right its a must! I've been working with dogs for years, its a passion of mine. It was a great day when I was finally able to have my own.
