Hello & Congrats on your new Frog! As long as you get the Hornworms from a feed dealer, they should be just fine to feed to the frog. Do NOT feed any you might find in the wild because they tend to eat tobacco & tomato plants and can be toxic to reptiles & amphibians. You should offer the frog food on a daily basis, he may not always take it, but offering is good. Feed appropriate sized meals. Too many hard shelled insects are possibly going to compact his bowels, so go easy on the mealies! We feed ours earthworms/ night-crawlers, crickets & mealworms for variety and have found that they LOVE the earthworms.
We keep ours in Rubbermaid containers and the temps are between 80 to 87.
