Thread: RETF slimy?

    Default RETF slimy?

    Looked at my RETF.... Hes kinda slimy... He has like booger looking stuff on his lefs and tumy. He was not like this about 30 minutes ago. thought it was kinda weird. Any ideas?

    Just pulled some of the slime off the glass of the aquarium... looks like skin... shedding? My first RETF. Not familiar with this

    He is most likely shedding, watch him and see if he pulls it off and ingests it. Then you will know for sure. A picture would help us in case it is something else.

    I left to check some stuff in the oven and grab a cricket for him. When I came back it was COMPLETELY gone. There was a little left on the aquarium wall. It looked like wet skin though. He also kept opening his mouth very wide over and over.

    Yeah this shows all the signs of shedding, I woudnt be worried about it.
