Kassina maculata is a member of the Family Hyperoliidae, closely related to the African reed frogs. Their range is from Kenya to South Africa. One note of caution, these frogs pack some potent toxins that can harm most mammals that try to eat it or even taste the skin. Keep it secure and thoroughly wash your hands after handling. That live about 5 years and are known to be cannibalistic (eating smaller frogs, such as reeds.)
