hey! i'm a mom to 4 kids in the way north texas area. this morning we found a little frog (from googling i think it's a green tree frog). we're trying to find out what we can about the little guy (or girl) and see if we can make a little home for him.

and we just found another one! hanging around our back door. looks just like the other one but with light speckles on it's back?

so weird. none of our neighbors have ever seen frogs like this around here. we've had flooding this week though so i'm sure that has something to do with it.

That would have been my guess, but I'm definitely not an expert. John or Paul or Kurt should be around later, and they would definitely have an idea. Or someone else may pop in before then.

Those are definitely Green Tree Frogs (Hyla cinerea). I have to say, it's pretty cool that you have them living in your backyard.

Best of Luck with your new found frogs!
