Most frogs won't touch dead crickets. Just because the frog hasn't touched them doesn't mean that something is necessarily wrong. It seems to me if some amphibians and reptiles get use to one food item, they get stuck on it. It's hard to get them back on crickets. So it may just take a little bit of time. Also, the frog may still be getting use to you.

How is the poop now? Still runny? Are you still finding some? I would suggest, as Jace did earlier, to get her checked out by a vet. It's never a bad idea, even if it's a healthy frog. They can do a fecal examination and make sure there are no parasites.

Hi, most frogs only go for live, moving targets.

You could try putting in only a couple crickets with your frog at a time so there's less going on at a time, or you could try giving them a little chill beforehand to slow them down. I've chilled 1/2" or so crickets in the freezer for 30 seconds before placing them in front of a frog. They start moving slowly after a minute or so, and are then easy pickings.

I'm not sure how much cold a pinhead can tolerate as I've never chilled one, I'd expect less than 30 sec of freezing, but it might be worth trying to get your frog used to catching crickets (and much easier than manually crippling each cricket!!)

That's a great idea! I'm going to try that with my small gray treefrog. Thanks!

That really is a great idea! I never thought to do that. But I will deff try it tomorrow! Thanks so much! And I am going to take her to the vet very soon. I haven't seen her poop in a few days so I'm just looking for a vet that deals with tropical frogs in my area.
