What a noise!!!

Hello!!
A few times recently, at night, I've heard a very strange noise when all the lights are off. It sounds like a puppy barking, but higher pitched. I decided to investigate last night as the sound was quite eerie, and it was one of the White's! I thought frogs were supposed to sound beautiful when they 'sing'. This one sounded like he was being strangled.....
Have heard them singing before, and sounded more frog-like than it did last night.

I don't think i would use the word beautiful to describe their croak. :P I dunno, I have always thought that mine sounded like dogs barking, except when they were really young. There was that point where the sound of their croaking definitely changed.
