    Default Red striped frog

    Hi there

I have joined the forum to find out if anyone can give me the names of red striped frogs. I am a coordinator of a conservation partnership called Kosciuszko to the Coast (K2C) with 11 partners including some government agencies.

Someone recently told me they had seen a frog with a distinct red stripe down its back. We are in a cold climate at about 700m an hour south of Canberra near the Snowy Mountains.

I said I would try and find out some more about it. I looked on the net and emailed them a photo of the Limnodynastes salmini - Salmon-striped Frog
I would appreciate hearing other posibiliites.

Take a look at Limnodynastes tasmaniensis. It has a reddish or orange stripe down its back.
