So I know from reading that WTF are active mostly at nighttime, and since the lights will be off in the tank i was wondering if putting a very small black light at the top of the tank shining in to see whats going on would be ok? is the Purple light the black light would give off bad for the frog or damaging at all? And if it would is there any other type of light that would be ok to use at night not all night long but i mean to see better into the tank.
You can use a black light, or a heat emitter. But be careful with the temps, don't buy a too high wattage bulb.
using a really low wattage red light bulb works really well because it puts more light out and they cant see red light so they are totally active with it on, plus black lights tends to turn anything in the tank brown looking while its on
cool i think ill go with the red one then just a low wattage one. thanks guys![]()
Red is a good choice, puts off brighter light than a purple bulb though.
