Hi, for fun me and my wife go herping out in the desert. Well one spot I like to go is a breeding ground for Anaxyrus punctatus or Red Spotted Toad. We found 5 mating pairs, and a ton of tadpoles.

They are a really common toad in AZ. I caught some tadpoles but they died really quick. Thanks for looking.

I was lucky enough to see this species in person in the spring of 2008. One of my favorites.
