The only problem with plastic wrap is that it can melt onto the screen lid. Plexi is the best way to go, but I use a real cheap thin plastic sheet that I bought at home depot for like $5 that works really well. And does your female make sounds when she is alone in her tank, or when you pick her up?

Ya i will experiment with how to keep the humidity.

The female makes little grunts by herself without me touching, but they are not deep croaks that sound like the cow the male makes.

Honestly the female looks like a minature male but the size difference is so much from my male i have to think its a female.

If it's just little grunts it's not a male. Females can make grunting sounds like that. Glad I could help!
