Is my frog normal??

After chatting with John, I decided to measure my 90% sure male bullfrog, Kadesh, and see if he is growing as he should. I cannot remember exactly how long I have had Kadesh, but it is between 10-12 months. He is between 4 1/2-5" svl (he did NOT like the tape measure!!). Is he where he should be? When I got him, he was the size of a Canadian toonie-or American half dollar. He has pretty much doubled in size the last couple of months-when he was on a diet of pinky mice and superworms, which I have since changed. Obi has not changed much in size since I got her in February. I have included some pics of Kadesh-not the best in focus (sorry)-but maybe they might give a better clue as to if he is 100% male.

As well, I have since found out that I cannot get feeder cockroaches here in Canada. One site I found suggested shrimp. Is this an option?
