Well I misread the care sheet and was thinking it was 3 crickets a day, and kind of been giving a little more but he goes after them each time so I am wondering if I have a female since they say females will eat and eat but males know when to stop, anyhoo Little Gray's neck is kind of pudgy, will he just digest the food ok if I stop feeding him for a day or so? Is there something else I should do?
In my experience both genders are pigs. I feed most of the frogs I have once a week.
wow so he is really overfed...ok I will wait a few days before feeding little piggy again...lol
Thank you again!!
Whoa! I'm overfeeding mine then too!
I've been feeding them crickets about every other day, with redworms and fruitflies in between. And an occasional waxworm about once a week to every two weeks. But basically something every day!
They look soo hungry and greet me at the terrarium door like little puppies. I feel sorry for them and feed them. They are not fat though![]()
lol my poor guy is looking pretty chubby...been eating 4-5 cricks a day and one mealworm this morning.
so he going on a short fast for a day or so...LOL
When I had Hyla squirella (3-4cm) I offered them 3-4 small crickets/tenebrios 2-4 times a week.
But this was no strict rule, I just put them in a box with some crickets/tenebrio and the frogs would start eating them. After each one eats the quantities I said before, they normally would start losing interest in the food and becoming more worried about leaving the box. That was when I used to pick them up back to the terrarium.
