    Good question,
I've been trying to get my greens & grays to call for days now... I've tried the youtube video "calling" "croaking"
I've tried sitting in my living room with nothing on except a upstairs light, were it just bearly illuminates the room.
For almost 39 minutes.. but still nothing... =(

Congratulations on your boy! We are crossing our fingers that our new little frog is male after losing our little Kibbits (also male). Kibbits would respond to us when we tried to replicate his call back! You should try it!

Kibbits also challenged any vacuum in the room for male supremacy. ; ) haha

At night, they are awake and active and so (at least in my experience) more likely to call. Kibbits got into the habit of calling when he knew it was around "dinner" time. I don't know the secret though to getting them to croak back. : ) If I started croaking, Kibbits would respond and it would be a competition - haha. BUT, he would never respond to my fiance trying to do the same thing.

Best of luck and I can't wait to hear if he starts responding to you : )

Well, lucy..our male whites is turning out to be a lot more interesting than I ever thought. "She" is actually quite large. I think she was at petsmart for quite a while.

Sweet to know that you rescued little "Lucy" from the pet store, and he(?) is now adjusting to the surroundings :P I think I actually uploaded an MP3 of our Kibbits' croaking to the forum. You should see if he'll respond to that ; )

We just fed our new little guy/girl, Quibble, for the first time. Both of our frogs were in separate "feeding tanks" since he will be in quarantine for the next month. He was very intrigued by Igby (our 1-year female WTF) and kept going after crickets in the other tank, after seeing them through the glass instead of the ones in his own :P
