The big issue is as the title says. These eye conditions haven't caused any motor issues but it is very clear the frog does not want to be out when it's light out, it seems to irritate him. When the issue is more severe, he buries his head under the fake plant leaves or goes to a corner with his head faced away from light sources. This frog lives with another one and currently the other isn't showing any signs of either the cloudiness issue nor the eye growth issue.
We've taken him to the vet and already (as per their instructions) gave him a 2 week course of baytril and a 2.5 week course of gentamicin sulfate solution as eyedrops. Prior to vet visits we tried to give him vitamin A turtle eye drops as well.
The cloudiness started first, and we believe it began 2 months before we actually noticed it (partially due to the positioning of their tank relative to the window, we were getting lots of reflection and glare). And then after the baytril didn't seem to help (I believe it was working for a bit and then ceased to), we noticed the more severe eye growth on the non-severely-cloudy eye and got the gentamicin for it. That reduced the growth in that eye significantly, although we still notice it's there in some form, even after 2.5 weeks on the gentamicin.
I'm mostly concerned because even after all that, there's a new minor thing on the eye that didn't have a growth originally (the cloudier one). I contacted the vet already, but there's so few frogs that come into that office that they remember our names whenever we're "calling about a frog". I'm waiting to hear back about this new growth today, but last we talked the vet was reluctant to prescribe more things - we were ready to accept the clouding as "just a problem he's going to have to deal with", but the growths worry me a lot. So I'm trying to field other opinions.
From reading other posts, I gathered a reason for the cloudiness may possibly be high cholesterol diet via them mostly only eating crickets. We're trying to correct this and have nightcrawlers now, and are trying to go with that diet change for a few weeks to see if there's a noticeable change in the cloudiness. We are also trying to dust the nightcrawlers every other feeding with repashy calcium plus. We do partial water changes once a day and clean the entire tank every 6-8 weeks.
Thank you in advance for any help. This little guy is the first one of this cohort we have and it's really painful to see him getting these problems back-to-back.
Note that first two images are of the new growth, and the last image is of the first growth that we specifically got him medication for.

Update: We switched diet to nightcrawlers completely for now. His eye has been clearing up quite well! I think there's some scarring from the initial growth but it's not coming back. The other one stopped after we discontinued antibiotics. So I think things are as good as they can be now.
