Hi!
So these are my Litorias:
The male:
The female (at least I bought her as one)
The 45x45x45cm enclosure:
Summer decoration (Aqua-terrarium)
Winter decoration (Terrarium)
Enjoy
Your frogs are gorgeous and they have a wonderful home too. Great photo's, thanks for sharing.
Fantastic photos!
Thank you both.
I've been keeping this couple for a year and a half now, and they are the most interesting frog I've ever kept
Btw, anyone knows a good trick to sex them?
All I know is that I bought them as a couple, and one grew up much larger (the female) and the male sings a lot... So I'm tempted to believe I do have a couple...
I dont keep these frogs (I wish I could)..but going by my frogs that sounds like a male and a female to me. Have you checked your male for nuptial pads? (Black Thumbs)
Actually I never did, bue I'll be watching this year I think they are around 2,5 years so the male should start adopting breeding behaviour. But my main doubt is about the female...I dont keep these frogs (I wish I could)..but going by my frogs that sounds like a male and a female to me. Have you checked your male for nuptial pads? (Black Thumbs)
They are hard to sex. I think you may have to wait till you notice some breeding behavior, or the black pads. Hopefully you'll find out soon!
Hmmm...Yes. Usually when my females are of breeding age they definitely look like they are full of eggs. From what I see with your photo she not looking that full. Im not sure so best someone who breeds these help you. Sorry I cant help.
Thank you both
It wasIt was great help, I'll see what I can find out in a few months, when the breeding season starts.
Good luck with breeding! It must be exciting.
Hi,
Yesterday I spent a couple hours listening to my frog's replys to youtube "white tree frog croaking" videos.
Not even a single reply from the female, but the male replyed to almost every video. (no dark throat, though)
Also, the hotos I posted from the female were not recent, this is how she looks now (sorry about the bad quality)
She definetly looks full to me
ps: I'm not planing on breeding them this year, because the preparation starts in 2 months (November), and it's too soon: I don't even finished sexing them. But maybe next year I build a rain chamber for them.
They are both beautiful frogs. Thanks for sharing their photos.
they are both so precious! you have an amazing set up to go with them as well. They sure look like two happy frogs...and your male responding to the frogs on youtube is so hilarious.

id love to see a video of your male responding to the videos on youtube if you get that on camera. hahahaha.
Sometimes. Animals believe that there is actually someone behind that box of wires. Lol. Like my rabbit would get closer to the computer when I put a rabbit video or picture. When I used to have toads(I still do but these are toadlets) I remember that 2 of the toads used to sing back. The crippled male would also sing sometimes. So this may be true to it. I dont know though. I just know what happened happened. Lol
His set ups are nice looking though.
You can't see my frog, but I guess the important thing is to hear it
(you can see it if wou look carefully when I turn on the lights)
