i have 2 red eye tree frogs i got 2 days ago all they do is sleep all day and night i saw one open its eyes last night to eat its skin and thats it they were awake when i got them they walked to the spot where they are now and went to sleep why is that
I actually got my first red eye tree frogs last weekend, and I have noticed that they tend to sleep a LOT. I haven't noticed any health issues in mine, so I believe it is likely normal behavior or they may just be cold. I'm going to pick up another heat mat for mine tomorrow after work, so I will let you know what my results are

I've seen a thread here suggesting that red-eyes may be sensitive to light at night and less likely to come out. Otherwise? See if they're eating normally or interested in insects at all. They may be ill? Who knows.
