A frog can take up to a week to settle in. Its best to leave them be for that time. Just throw in some food in the mean time. Sounds like you've got the frog bug.Hope we get to see some photo's.
Hello from Chicago. I am a new member to the forum and new to frogs. I've recently adopted 5 fire-bellied toads -- all of whom are very happy, healthy and active. This past weekend I adopted (from Petsmart) a White's Tree Frog. He is a healthy size, about 9 months old, but VERY VERY shy and burrows into the substrate to hide. I hope to learn from all of you via this forum . . . but I would like some advice as to how long is too long for him to adapt to his new home.

Welcome aboard.
Welcome! I can't wait to see the pictures of your frog and toads.![]()
Welcome to the forum. Burrowing in tree frogs is often a sign of low humidity. Are you keeping his terrarium moist and humid?
