One of my rescue toads wheezes a little sometimes. It’s just for a few seconds and it honestly looks like a mini asthma attack. He’s fine afterwards. He’s a rescue and I believe he was stepped on in the wild as his jaw is a little sideways and his left eye is wack, I’ll post a picture. Could the wheezing be due to anxiety or sinus problems from his injury?

He had a pretty bad episode and stopped breathing for a few seconds today. I’m starting to suspect some sort of respiratory infection. What’s the best way to go about treating him?
Very odd. Never heard of a amphibian being diagnosed with that before.......Or perhaps Covid? Hope it gets better.
I started misting him more regularly and it cleared up, but I think he had some sort of brain damage from being stepped on and he started declining pretty rapidly and passed yesterday. RIP Stanley you will be missed![]()
Sorry to hear.
Poor little guy.![]()
