One of my rescue toads wheezes a little sometimes. It’s just for a few seconds and it honestly looks like a mini asthma attack. He’s fine afterwards. He’s a rescue and I believe he was stepped on in the wild as his jaw is a little sideways and his left eye is wack, I’ll post a picture. Could the wheezing be due to anxiety or sinus problems from his injury?
He had a pretty bad episode and stopped breathing for a few seconds today. I’m starting to suspect some sort of respiratory infection. What’s the best way to go about treating him?
Very odd. Never heard of a amphibian being diagnosed with that before.......Or perhaps Covid? Hope it gets better.
I started misting him more regularly and it cleared up, but I think he had some sort of brain damage from being stepped on and he started declining pretty rapidly and passed yesterday. RIP Stanley you will be missed
Sorry to hear.
Poor little guy.
